    Every practice that bills insurance registers an NPI: name, address, specialty, date.

    NPPES, the federal registry: public, weekly.

    We draw the ring and list your specialty’s registrations, newest first. Distances use registered addresses and are approximate.

    Where it breaks

    Records are self-reported, so a relocation can look identical to a new opening. CMS itself warns: "Issuance of an NPI does not ensure or validate that the Health Care Provider is Licensed or Credentialed."
